Motivada por la fuerte necesidad de preservar el planeta frente a la destrucción masiva que la humanidad está llevando a cabo, creemos que como artistas tenemos la oportunidad y necesidad de expresar y a través del arte concienciar del grave problema.
Ponemos nuestro foco de atención en el frágil hábitat del océano, su conservación y la presión para ampliar zonas como santuarios donde lase species puedan dejar de desaparecer.
Una visita a la Barrera de Coral en Queensland es suficiente para experimentar el fuerte deseo de proteger este medio natural y sus seres, ya que no como científico, así como artista. Recientemente Martin Sheen presenta en Australia y New Zeland la película The map to Paradise. Fuente de inspiración que asegura, como otros medios de expresión pueden llegar al gran público y acercarlo al problema desde una mirada positiva y esperanzadora.

Our motivation to start this Project is the upcoming movement that is taking place all over the world to preserve Nature. We want to focus in restoring the fragile habitats in Oceans. Their conservation, which is growing up as a great value for our society must be a right.
We have a responsibility as an artist to bring awareness to conserving the seas. From the position of being an artist, nor a biologist, scientist or a politician what we can do is create to call and communicate our aware about the urgent necessity to protect our marine life, which otherwise is the origin of life.

Nuestra responsabilidad como artistas debe ser contribuir a desarrollar el compromiso de la conservación, y de hacer reflexionar sobre la relación de la humanidad con el medio natural. Así, concienciar de la súper polución o la súper explotación de los océanos.
Mi interés en la obtención de piezas de grabado que sean capaces de transmitir y comunicar tal belleza usando materiales no tóxicos, reciclando la misma plancha o utilizando papel fabricado a mano a partir de medios naturales hace que el Proyecto esté en conexión con mi necesidad expresiva.

I realized that my contribution as an artist to extend the commitment we have as human beings must be something that makes people aware about the situation

On the other hand, my passion for etching and painting depicts me into a necessity to express all these feelings through these materials without forgetting the purpose. I do consider myself a environmental rights defender.

Mi intención a desarrollar en el taller de grabado es trabajar solo con una gran plancha de hierro pura natural que será sometida a diversas técnicas ancestrales o contemporáneas de grabado como mezzotinta, punta seca, acuatinta, aguafuerte u otras, de tal manera que la riqueza en las diferentes series obtenidas entre cada proceso enriquezcan su resultado.
Así como el concepto reducción de la plancha en grabado puedo utilizar el concepto devastación en la Naturaleza. Aún así, ésta tiene el poder de regenerar se si le damos una oportunidad como la plancha será capaz de desprender belleza en su último momento.
From this point my goal is to achieve the beauty of a piece of art using non toxic materials, as the natural beauty, and even reusing some of them from rubbish to made paper as a good support for etching on top.
In that way, my goal is working with only one large plate as a Nature pure metal which must be devastated by intaglio, mezzotint, acquafort, dry point or several others techniques to enhance her life with richness or simply to over devastated it. As we do with our Oceans, a series of prints in all of these different stages can be obtained to prove how the beauty of Marine Life can be regenerated and still be positive with our change as a society.
